Christ Church Broadstairs was originally a Tin Tabernacle that was constructed in 1901 and was in use until 1904. The tin church had pews and gas lightings. The present building was built in 1904 and dedicated in March 1905. This church building was dedicated in memory of Bishop Samuel who was the Bishop Primus of the Free Church of England from 1890 to 1900.
Christ Church is an Anglican Church rooted in Biblical teachings and principles. We follow The Book of Common Prayer 1959 for our morning services.

The Church
Revd Jabson Watson has been part of the Free Church of England since he served as a non-stipendiary minister at Christ Church, Harlesden, in 2017. Revd Watson was conditionally re-ordained by the Rt Revd Dr Paul Hunt in 2019 and he served as the Presbyter in Christ Church, Willesborough, from September 2019 to August 2022. He is serving as the Presbyter at Christ Church, Broadstairs, since September 2022. ​​
Prior to his time with the FCE, Revd Jabson Watson was ordained by the Most Revd Dr John Sathiyakumar, the Metropolitan Archbishop, in 2014. He has been serving as the International Mission Secretary for the Anglican Church of India. Since 2016, in this role as mission secretary, the Revd Jabson has worked on building the ecumenical relationship between the Anglican (Episcopal) Church of India and The Free Church of England. Rt Revd Dr Jabson Watson will preside over ACI's Missionary Diocese in the United Kingdom. ​
